Hi and welcome to The Wondering Wayfarer. I’m Hypatia and I currently reside in the beautiful state of Arizona and I love it! As as child I would dream of seeing the world and venturing to new places. As I grew up, I became focused on success; with a passion for the arts and design; I knew I wanted to live a life of creativity and inspiration.

After college, I move to New York City to pursue a career in Fashion Design. Through hard work and determination, I was blessed to secure an amazing internship with a highly successful designer. While this was an opportunity of a lifetime I quickly realized it was not for me. Shortly after my brief stint in the Big Apple, my parents convinced me to come out to Arizona and I immediately feel in love with the desert life. Picking up where I left off in college, I quickly got back into jewelry and began a new adventure. Phoenix has so much to offer: great location, dry temperatures (yeah it is hot in the summer, but that is why we have AC and pools), and so much to do! If you are a foodie like me, Phoenix and all of our perimeter cities are perfect place to reside or visit.

Recently, I made a big change in my life and switched careers. Previously, I have spent over 10 years in the jewelry industry; learning everything from sales, design, and manufacturing. Even though I will always have a love for all things sparkly I was ready for something new. Approximately five months ago, I was presented with an opportunity to change careers and invest in my passion for travel. This change has been both exhilarating and apprehensive at the same time, it has inspired me to refocus my life on the things which inspire me.

Throughout my life, I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to live in several different states. These states have included: Kentucky (GO BIG BLUE!), Georgia, Colorado, Texas, New Jersey/ New York, and Arizona. Aside from residing in these states I have visited over 25 states; with the hope of seeing more! This opportunity has allowed me to see and experience a lot!  In addition to traveling across America, I have ventured to Europe and Central America. Even though, I have not traveled as much as other bloggers, I am sure my experiences will encourage others to travel and try new things!
